Arkadia

A mythic dance-work that imagines life and afterlife in a garden of paradise.

Arkadia, Melanie Lane’s new dance opera, invites you to step across the threshold into a realm of dreams. Inspired by speculative utopias and science fiction, experience a Garden of Paradise where gods, nymphs and aliens transform. Bodies unite and suspend as mythic entities that stretch between the natural and digital worlds. This is a place to reflect on extinction, reincarnation and the afterlife. A shimmering world to play within the possibility of magic and immortality.
