Your frequently asked questions about 8/8/8: REST, answered.

What if I arrive late?

We ask that all ticketholders arrive at 9:00pm on time, or as close to on time as possible. A lockout will be in place for this performance and latecomers may not be admitted.

What do I bring?

Bags, coats and other belongings can be cloaked at the beginning of the show. Please note that you won’t be able to access these items during the show unless you decide to leave. You will move around the venue, so we ask that you don’t bring anything that is large or bulky.

What can I eat and drink?

Alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for purchase until midnight. Water, tea and coffee will be available. Protagonist Café, located just outside the venue, will be open from 5.00am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings.

Can I leave? Can I take a break from the performance if I need to?

You can leave at any time however pass-outs will not be available for this event.

Can I sleep?

There will be opportunity for rest. If you need a break, you can move around but no venue pass-outs available. (You can't go in and out of the venue).

How can I get home?

Please familiarise yourself with public transport options available using the PTV website. Hourly train services restart from Flinders Street Station by 5:00am. Tram services from St Kilda Road restart by 3:00am. The King’s Birthday Holiday on Monday 10th may impact public transport timetables. Paid parking is available in the Arts Centre Melbourne carpark, and public parking is available on Linlithgow Avenue.

Does it really go for eight hours?

Yes. This event takes place from 9pm to 5am.

What are the content warnings?

Nudity, simulated drinking, violence, abuse, death. Note: there will not be any use of strobe lights during the performance.

Are there technical effects I should maybe know about?

Simulated smoking/smoking of herbal cigarettes.

Does the show have an age restriction?

Strictly 18+.

Can I book using RISING's multi pass offer

Yes. Buy tickets to three or more eligible events to save 15% off the standard ticket price. The discount price limited to two tickets per show. Note: all bookings incur a $6 transaction fee.
